Teenage Amish girls in New York City during Rumspringa.

Rumspringa is the rite of passage of Amish teenagers. At 16 they are allowed leave their strict society and explore the outside “English” world including alcohol, drugs and sex before deciding to join or leave the Amish community.

“In the comedy movie Sex Drive (2008), young Amish participating in Rumspringa are portrayed as an equivalent to stereotyped college spring break-goers, partaking in heavy drinking, partying, club dancing, and sexual activity despite never leaving their communities or changing into “English” clothing while partaking in these behaviors.”
I really did not think this was a real thing.
